Clinique La Prairie, Swiss pioneer in longevity, returns to Art Dubai 2024 as a sponsor and hosts its renowned Longevity Lounge at the fair.
An avid supporter of art and culture, Clinique La Prairie will be commissioning a new work for the Lounge, and Sara Naim, a Syrian multidisciplinary artist who grew up between Dubai and London, has been selected to create a piece that speaks to the ethos of Clinique La Prairie.
The large-scale sculpture will be organically shaped and made up of depictions of sunrises and sunsets. “I associate wellness with wholeness and longevity with timelessness,” Naim says. “The source that binds the two for me is the sun, as a cyclical motion of sunrise and sunset that triggers a constant newness”.
“Art Dubai 2024 promises to be a celebration of creativity and innovation, values that resonate deeply with Clinique La Prairie,” says Simone Gibertoni, CEO of Clinique La Prairie. “We are delighted to bring our Longevity Lounge back to this important platform, fostering an intersection of art and longevity.”
Speaking about the partnership, Art Dubai’s Executive Director Benedetta Ghione said, “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Clinique La Prairie, placing the new artist commission at the heart of our collaboration. Sara Naim’s multidisciplinary artistic practice and message of harnessing stillness is a necessity of our time, and will undoubtedly resonate with artists and audiences alike at the fair.”
A haven for respite and artistic reflection, the immersive Lounge experience is made up of three sections: a Detox Bar, with revitalising refreshments; Holistic Health, where you can discover the Health supplement range; and the Luxury Experience Room, where therapists offer an exclusive menu of treatments for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Naim will discuss her new work, and wider practice in relation to wellness and longevity, in an artist talk on Friday, 1 March at 5pm at the Art Bar.
The Lounge, and Naim’s work, will be accessible to visitors throughout Art Dubai 2024.
