Chatterjee & Lal was formed in 2003 by husband and wife team Mortimer Chatterjee and Tara Lal. Based in Mumbai’s Colaba art district, the gallery program is focused on the work of emerging artists, mid-career artists and, increasingly, historical material. Over the last fourteen years the gallery and its artists have formed an important node in the city’s maturing art scene.
