Born from the enthusiasm and inspiration that animates the spirit of artistic creation, Verve is home to different platforms for experimentation in contemporary art. Eloquence and subtlety are at the root of the term verve, as in the careful selection of artists and exhibition projects. By understanding that artistic language scomprise continuous and complementary processes, the gallery represents young and established artists in dialogue, moving freely between painting, performance, drawing, photography and sculpture. Founded in 2013 and directed by visual artist Allann Seabra and architect Ian Duarte, Verve operated as an artist-run space until 2017, when it started representing artists commercially and participating in art fairs. In 2021, the gallery headquarters is transferred to the historic Louvre Building, where it currently occupies 05different rooms, establishing an open dialogue with the built heritage of the city of São Paulo. From the configuration of the exhibition spaces and its connections with urbanity, countless possibilities emerge, extending the gallery’s reach to the street and fulfilling the integrative function between art, the public and the city.
