TAFETA is a London-based gallery specializing in 20th-century and contemporary African art.Constituted as a gallery in 2013 and with a project space in Lagos, Nigeria, the gallery remains the leading purveyor of some of the most important 20th-centuryartists of African descent. TAFETA ‘s contemporary program actively seeks to discover and represent emerging, mid-career and established artists in Africa andthe diaspora.
TAFETA has been featured in notable international publications such as the Financial Times, The New York Times, and the Art Newspaper and has worked toplace contemporary African art in prominent public and private collections, including the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Arts, Washington D.C; CCSBard College Hessel Museum of Art; the Fitchburg Art Museum; the Mott-Warsh Collection, Michigan; and the House of European History, Brussels to name afew.
TAFETA has participated in international art fairs and biennials such as TEFAF showcase, The Armory Show New York, Art Dubai Contemporary, 1:54Contemporary African Art Fair, the Liverpool Biennial and the Deagu Photo Biennial
