Sevil Dolmaci Istanbul, founded by art historian Sevil Dolmaci in 2017, opened its doors in its current gallery space in Istanbul, Villa Ipranosyan Building, in2020. Since then, the gallery has collaborated with important curators, expanded its artist portfolio and carried out significant exhibitions and projects, through which it has exhibited the works of both well-established and promising local and international artists. The main gallery space, which is a second-degree historical landmark, is listed in the Pervititch maps prepared between 1922-1945 as “Villa Ipranosian.” Based on the need for local access to the international art market for the growing diverse and vibrant population of Dubai and the UAE, Sevil Dolmaci Dubai opened its doors on November 6, 2023. Located in the heart of the Dubai Design District, Sevil Dolmaci Dubai is a contemporary space that embodies the white cube concept with its single space, high ceilings, and large white walls. The gallery aims to bring easy access to the international market, creating and feeding a bustling and sophisticated art scene with the dedication to the exchange of knowledge, culture and art.
