Pinksummer was founded in Genoa in 2000 by Antonella Berruti and Francesca Pennone. Since 2005, the gallery has been based in the Cortile Maggiore of Palazzo Ducale. The gallery takes its name from Pinksummer, a canvas by Takashi Murakami featured in its inaugural exhibition, a dual solo exhibition opening on February 19th and featuring Takashi Murakami and Miltos Manetas. From its inception, Pinksummer has focused on the production and presentation of curated exhibition projects, primarily solo exhibitions, developed through long-term collaborations with its artists.
