Galerie Mitterrand was founded in 1988 by Jean-Gabriel Mitterrand and encompasses two spaces in a privately owned townhouse in Paris’ Marais district. For the past 30 years, it has predominantly showcased sculpture. In 2015, Galerie Mitterrand opens the Domaine du Muy, a sculpture park comprised of several dozen hectares of land in the South of France. The park lays the foundations for a private venue in natural settings in France that is dedicated to international, contemporary sculpture.
