Courtesy of Galerie Christian Lethert
Founded in August 2006, Galerie Christian Lethert pursues a clear concept of minimal and abstract positions in Contemporary Art, in painting, drawing and sculpture. Besides working with an internationally established generation of artists like Imi Knoebel, Richard Tuttle or Christiane Baumgartner, Galerie Christian Lethert also focuses on innovative and distinguished, contemporary artists such as Rana Begum, Henrik Eiben or Daniel Lergon. The gallery regularly presents both solo and group exhibitions. A supporting program of lectures and book launches complete the gallery work in general. In the second half of 2018 Galerie Christian Lethert will present a solo exhibition by Rana Begum, release a new Winston Roeth catalog and complete the year with a solo exhibition by Imi Knoebel.
After eleven successful years the Gallery left the old location in the ‘Belgische Viertel’ to “Gründerzeithaus” to offer even more spacious exhibition possibilities to present an ambitious abstract-minimalist program.
Galerie Christian Lethert participates in national and international art fairs such as Art Cologne, Art Düsseldorf, Art Brussels, NADA NYC and Untitled Miami Beach. The gallery has successfully placed works in a variety of private and public collections, including the Hessel Museum of Art, New York; Saint Louis Art Museum, St. Louis; Hamburger Kunsthalle, Hamburg; Kupferstichkabinett, Berlin. The artists represented have exhibitions with institutions worldwide, and have been awarded important prizes, commissions and outdoor projects.
