Aspan Gallery is a leading contemporary art gallery based in Almaty, Kazakhstan specialised on contemporary Central Asian art. The gallery has a consistent record of delivering curatorially strong exhibitions by the region’s most potent voices. Since its inception the gallery has become instrumental in developing the Central Asian art scene by staging important historical exhibitions, publishing books and catalogs, commissioning artists and supporting artists’ production in a region where institutional support of contemporary art is minimal.

The gallery continues to actively support the artists to enable them to develop their practices and participate in exhibitions and biennials at home and abroad. The gallery also closely works with major international institutions assisting in forming collections of Central Asian contemporary art.
