Albarrán Bourdais (Madrid) was born in 2018, with the idea of creating a new concept of art gallery that expands beyond the white cube. Large installations, interventions, collaborations and exhibitions that blur the walls of the physical space suppose a new door to established artists such as Christian Boltanski, Iván Argote, Cristina Lucas or Carlos Amorales, (among others), to the Spanish and Latin American public thus promoting, the exchange and dialogue between different cultures and the different agents of the sector: artists, public space, curators, museums and institutions, and collectors.

With a production agency in Paris and an architecture park in Aragon, Albarran Bourdais brings together contemporary art, architecture and artistic production in a parallel and complementary way.

Eva Albarrán and Christian Bourdais, have been working for almost two decades with the key figures of contemporary art and architecture and throughout these years they have developed a particular ecosystem that has positioned them as pioneers and avant-garde agents of both worlds.

In 2004 they made their debut in the field of art production and founded Eva Albarrán & Co, today one of the three largest contemporary art production companies in France, specializing in the production of large-scale exhibitions and public commissions. Eva Albarrán & Co has on its list of collaborators artists such as Francis Alÿs, Pierre Huyghe, Kader Attia, Daniel Buren or Fujiko Nakawa and has contributed to the consolidation of their renowned careers.

Simultaneously to the production company, and guided by their interest in creating synergies, in 2010 they launched Solo Houses, the first collection of architecture in Europe, where the Gallery programs every two years an outdoor group exhibition with specifically created monumental works. It is a completely unprecedented and exceptional combination of architecture, art and nature that has become a reference for anyone interested in any of these sectors.

In the summer of 2021, under the motto of expanding beyond the white cube, Albarrán Bourdais (Menorca) was born, a new exhibition space in the heart of the island. The space was inaugurated with an extraordinary exhibition conceived in situ by Christian Boltanski, his latest exhibition.
