Aicon specialises in modern and contemporary non-Western art, with a particular emphasis on South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The New York gallery offers a vital platform for artists from these regions, enabling them to realise their vision in a global and constantly evolving world. In addition to in-depth, focused solo exhibitions, Aicon presents a programme of curated group shows that are international in scope and ambition.   In its solo exhibitions, Aicon has showcased the works of established 20th-century artists such as M. F. Husain, F. N. Souza, and S. H. Raza. The gallery has also featured solo shows by prominent living artists including Victor Ekpuk, Nataraj Sharma, Natvar Bhavsar, Rina Banerjee, Anjolie Ela Menon, and Surendran Nair. From the younger generation, Aicon has presented solo exhibitions by Salman Toor, Mequitta Ahuja, Khadim Ali, and Youdhisthir Maharjan.   The gallery’s group exhibitions have included Readymade: Contemporary Art from Bangladesh and Between Line and Matter: Impulse of Minimalism in South Asia and the Middle East.
