The first Industrial Revolution introduced new technologies that redefined how we understand the world today. However, these innovations also generated an alienation from nature, from other people, from our work, and from ourselves. This radical change revealed the active relationship between humans and nature, a direct process of the production of their lives.
Today, we are also witnessing an era of rapid technological advancements driven by complex data and binary codes that often elude our understanding. The complexity behind these radical changes is leading to an alienation from the world around us while creating a distance from pressing global challenges.
From geometric abstraction to AI-generated natures, this exhibition presents works by Italian artists that capture the zeitgeist and spirit of our time – a time of dazzling technological beauty, yet one marked by complex, fast, and unsettling realities unfolding without much time for reflection.

The Consulate General of Italy in Dubai provides consular services to a growing community of 16.000+ residents and promotes Italian culture and trade relations in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. The Consulate General collaborates with institutions and artists to foster the knowledge and diffusion of Italian culture, believing that the arts, throughout time, essentially define Italy’s identity. Dubai’s international, lively environment favours such activities, offering an ideal ground for deepening mutual understanding and human bonds through culture. At the same time, appreciating the relevance of Dubai as a now global hub and its drive for innovation, the Consulate General constantly supports Italian companies in better understanding this market and seizing the many business opportunities it has to offer. The Consulate General operates under the aegis of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the Embassy and the Cultural Institute in Abu Dhabi, as well as the Italian Trade Agency.
