Extension trips to Kochi and Tashkent following Art Dubai 2023

To further expand our commitment to cultivating a culture of discovery in the extended region, and born out of continued collaborations with institutions that are the heartbeat of artistic production in the Global South, we are offering organised extension trips to a number of destinations within proximity to Dubai to bridge your planned trip to the UAE with (for those coming from abroad).

These trips, organised by the partner institutions in each city, are available to Art Dubai guests and will include exclusive itineraries aimed at showcasing the unique cultural offering of each destination, with special access to some of the most exciting exhibitions, spaces and artists operating in these realms.

Kochi, India

A 3-day programme built around the fifth edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, entitled ‘In Our Veins Flow Ink and Fire’. Curated by Shubigi Rao, it brings together over 80 artists and collectives from over 30 countries, showcasing 60 new commissions, numerous collateral exhibitions and a diverse range of programming. Held in the port city of Kochi that boasts of a unique multi-cultural past, the biennale offers a memorable way to engage with the city while also discovering participating artists and their work.

Numerous daily 4-hour flights are available from Dubai and the neighbouring emirates.

This trip is organised in partnership with the Kochi-Muziris Biennale Foundation.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan

An even shorter flight from Dubai is Tashkent, Central Asia’s largest city and one of the most exciting emerging cultural destinations.

Discover the city through an itinerary centred around meeting some of the country’s biggest movers and shakers supporting the growth of the cultural infrastructure of the country and through a series of private guided visits to new and existing institutions and centres.

This trip is organised in partnership with the Art & Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan.
