TRAINEESHIPS

Art Dubai’s Traineeship Programme was initiated in September 2007. Since then over 400 students and recent graduates from 40 nationalities and 20 educational institutions have participated in the scheme and gone on to find further work experience opportunities and permanent placements within Art Dubai and its extensive network of partner organisations.

The below opportunities are only available for those based in the UAE. Exceptions to this can be considered if the applicant has scholarship funding available to cover their travel, visa and accommodation in Dubai.

The Traineeship placement is an intensive three to four month programme, where trainees gain direct experience in one department in the lead up to the fair, as well as hands on experience during the fair in March.

Traineeships at Art Dubai are aimed at young professionals who have completed internships within the art world, or for those who have experience in other fields and are looking to make a switch to the art world. This unique opportunity gives individuals the opportunity to gain real hands-on experience working alongside the Art Dubai team, and to take on areas of responsibility through the three to four month period in the lead-up to the fair. The role also includes regular meetings and mentoring by senior members of the Art Dubai team. One third of the interns have been Emirati and the remaining came from countries from across the Arab world as well as Iran, India, Peru, Russia, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Lithuania, among other countries.

Department areas include:

  • Events Management
  • Commissioning and Curatorial
  • VIP Relations
  • Gallery Management
  • Education
  • Sponsorship

Please note: applicants are limited to applying for a maximum of 3 different roles within Art Dubai.
