Beirut, Lebanon

The Running Horse Contemporary Art Space is located in the Karantina industrial district of Beirut, Lebanon, opened in May 2009 by Lea Sednaoui, graduate of the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London.

The Running Horse (TRH) acts as a communicative platform looking to foster contemporary visual language by inviting emerging artists from Lebanon and the Middle East to articulate concepts and generate creative possiblities through different media that cover painting, photography, sculpture, video and installation. In addition to presenting local artists to a wider international public, TRH also works to introduce emerging and mid-career international artists through various thematic exhibitions to the Lebanese audience and the wider Middle Eastern community, advocating thus a permanent discourse in visual culture.
