Jaffer Kolb is a writer based in New York. Previously he served as deputy director at the Institute for Urban Design (New York), the features editor at the Architects' Journal (London), and assistant editor at the Architect's Newspaper (New York).
He holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning from the London School of Economics, where he received distinction for a thesis comparing post-riot urban planning in Los Angeles after the 1965 and 1992 riots. He has contributed to Metropolis Magazine (New York), GQ (New York), Blueprint (London), and Domus (Milan), among others.
