Internships

Art Dubai’s Internship Programme was initiated in September 2007. Since then over 300 students and recent graduates from 40 nationalities and 18 educational institutions have participated in the scheme and gone on to find further work experience opportunities and permanent placements within Art Dubai and its partner organisations. One third of the interns were Emirati and the remaining came from countries from across the Arab world plus Iran, India, Peru, Russia, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Lithuania, and so on.
 
Art Dubai has fostered close relationships with all major arts faculties in the UAE and abroad. During the fair, students have the opportunity of working with galleries, media partners, artists, and the Art Dubai team. In 2012, the internship opportunities are expanding to include placements not only at Art Dubai but at other events taking place during Art Week.
 
New in 2011-12, the Education Programme featured a series of seminars which aimed to give additional support to young people in the UAE. The series focused on the world of contemporary art and design, offering access to experts within the field, practical advice, and the chance to network with previous interns, like-minded students and recent graduates.
