Global Art Forum: 2 continued to create links between East and West through the exploration of professional and public interests in art. The Forum examined public support for the arts, corporate and private collecting and art patronage. Also integral to the programme was the museum's role in preserving the past and hosting the future, as it cannot be ignored that the visual arts is a critical form of cultural heritage.
The artist and collector have become nomads of today’s global art world, and the journey to find inspiration also leads to self-discovery. This journey was the backdrop of a series of conversations between artist and collectors. In collaboration with the FIAC in Paris, the Global Art Forum hosted Paris /Dubai, which united artists and intellectuals from the Middle East living in Paris through the topic of art in transition.
