Galerie Mirchandani + Steinruecke believes in foregrounding new relationships between process and concept in art. Emergent contemporary positions in Indian art, particularly in painting, sculpture, and material investigation, form the gallery's focus. Its vision is to foster dialogues that lead to a deeper international discourse on young Indian art. Established 1989 in Mumbai as an art consultancy, Galerie Mirchandani + Steinruecke operated a branch in Berlin from 1997 to 2003 before launching its current space in Mumbai in 2006.
