We decided to go for an Exotica/Tropical mix to go with all the lovely weather we’ve been having – that kind of perfect heat just before it gets unbearable. The sounds range from rare Brazilian jazz to Ghanian highlife, surf classics and obscure Japanese gems to go with that summer heat.

extra | ordinary: a postscript from the designers

New York-based design firm Project Projects were commissioned by Guest Curator Murtaza Vali to design the accompanying publication to the exhibition ‘extra | ordinary’, which showcased the works of the 2013 Abraaj Group Art Prize winners, Vartan Avakian, Iman Issa, Huma Mulji, Hrair Sarkissian and Rayyane Tabet.
