Statement:
The female body is perceived differently depending on whether the viewer is
a man or a woman.
For men, obviously, it is an object of desire, something that is coveted,
but also discriminated against.
For women it is perceived more as an unknown concept that is respected but
is also taboo.
Men have created an unrealistic image of the female gender not only by
considering women as commodities and letting their sexual instinct take over
their attitudes towards femininity, but also by restricting the concept of
emotional bonds. To control this wrong image created by themselves, men have
no other choice except censorship.
Because of all the layers of censorship we never know what exactly is
happening. What the viewer will feel is the void, nervousness and anguish of
confounded human beings in the most private place of all.
