Biography:
Fawzy Emrany is a young Palestinian artist, born in Gaza and who completed his art studies in the city Nablus - West Bank in 1987. Emrany has participated and held many art exhibits in Gaza, West Bank and in Europe. In 2000 he completed his Master's degree in Germany and has been continually organizing art exhibits and events in Palestine and Germany since then.
Statement:
Through my artwork, I am trying to capture the relationship between a certain space and its occupiers.
By doing this, I am hoping to influence the occupiers' believes and therefore the way they act on their space.
My art also expresses religious, social and political values that help me understand the surrounding reality.
