Biography:
Born in Ankara, Turkey, Erdal Ates; has a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Eskis;ehir Anadolu University and Erdal received a master's degree from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting. He is currently working in his own studio in Ankara.

Statement:
The starting point of my studies is the ramshackled walls of deserted or ruined buildings and the slam houses.
Especially the visual notes taken from suburbans makes the base of my studies.
The walls are the witness of every society. Here, the broken, spilled, tracked plaster of these walls' image evoked as an antigeometric abstract visual feast is taken in hand to be discussed
