Biography:
A self-taught artist, my art finds expression in both needle and brush.
My fabric sculpture and art quilts have been exhibited all over India, with prize-winning entries in international challenges.
My paintings have been shown at Lalit Kala Akademi.
Statement:
My fabric art is very whimsical, with a Western cast reflecting my education in the US.
My paintings are murals on board with acrylics, and also with soft pastels, following an Indian metaphor. The murals explore the different facets of the human psyche, while the soft pastels are experiments in color and technique focusing on traditional models.
